Unhappy with what I was asked to do!
Preferred solution: Give customers a choice whether to drive their car onto the ramp or not. But don't ask after you have scared the customer half to death!!!!!

Wrong wheel
I went to Discount Tire, ordered a wheel and tires from them. I looked at the picture they stated was the same wheel. It did not look right. The person who ordered them and gave me a quote, gave me his card with his name on it and the cost. I received two phone calls from Discount Tire saying the wheel was in. When I went in, I told them about my concern regarding wheel being the correct one. The man who ordered it was no longer there and they could not find my quote.
The person who was helping me stated he looked at the wheel and it was the correct one. It took them 3 hours to change out the wheel and all 4 tires. When it was done, they had me walk out to my car because they were very busy. When I walked to my car, I immediately realized it was the wrong wheel. I brought the car around to the front of the building and walked back in. I told him it was the wrong wheel color. It was dark grey and my wheels were more of a silver graphite.
I was extremely upset since I had told them I thought it was incorrect. I could not believe the person who put the wheel on did not realize it was the wrong color. That is what he does for a living and did not see it! I saw the color difference immediately. They stated it was because the area they put it on is not well lit.
If someone had called me and told me, "I'm sorry, but we need to reorder a different wheel." I would not have been nearly as upset. They were going to let me drive away with the wrong wheel!
Then one of the guys there said to me, "Miss K, don't be so upset, we will fix it." That was the last thing I wanted to hear because I had told them it was wrong to begin with.
Then the man that was helping me tells me that when he looks the wheels up on the computer, two of the wheels look exactly alike. I told him I wanted something in writing saying I would get the right one at no cost to mount or balance the wheel. He put it on the back of one of his cards. I told him the last person that gave me his card was no longer there. (That was one week ago.) . He said, "I just got here, I am not going anywhere." Then he said, "well, I will be on vacation next week, but, I will make sure you get taken care of." Nothing printed saying I would get the wheel and everything at no cost. No....I do not feel taken care of.
I am a nurse practitioner. If I gave a child the wrong drug because "two of them look exactly alike", I would not have a license to practice.

personally I shopped around for a trusted agency and found one I have used for 5 years on all my families cars.Price is not an issue as they are fair. My advice is never use anyone you have a problem with and shop around.
I get tires, engine work and anything else from there as they stand by the product. I also get body work from mieneke which I swear by .
car always looks like new and the service is fast. :)
What ever. For real. :grin
Maybe you should spend more money on ENGLISH LESSONS INSTEAD OF FANCY CARS!!
