Bad Customer Service from Store Manager Paul Mackenzie

My name is Pedro Castillo and for the past 15 years I am a customer of Discount Tires located in Rancho Santa Margarita. I am already tired of the attitude and very poor customer service of the store Manager Paul Mackenzie at Discount Tires located at 23051 Antonio Parkway in Rancho Santa Margarita. When I drop my car he even doesn't have the courtesy to say good morning and looks like he is in bad mood all the time. I got to the point that I want to bring my cars when he is off, but this is not right. I never had any problems with all the others Managers. Please I need somebody to look on to this. Thank you.

Hi first off I wanna say I've been a loyal customer 2 guys for the past 15 years had issues before and I've got over those. I went into your shop an ordered a set of tires I put $1000 down An told them about what happened last time which was they didn't have the air ram to fill up the tires which that time I sat there for 4 hours and he reassured me that there would be no issue filling them up and yes we have it. So I go in today October 3rd to get my tires put on one of the tires was the wrong size so they gave me a different tire until they could order that one but what end up happening was they weren't able to get the tires put on stay in have the air ram which they said they did !! So I end up leaving for hours later what's one correct tire one wrong tire 2 old tires and 3 sensors that don't work that's why I'm reaching out today with my frustration so now next weekend add to deal with it again my guess would be another 4 hours if there's anything you can do for me it would be appreciated.... . I went to a location in Stafford, Tx this morning to get my tires balanced and rotated. And because of the virus situation I was asked to DRIVE my car onto the ramp! I was scared to death to do that! Then after that I was told they should have given me a choice...well it was a little too late! I was NOT given a choice! Unhappy Customer!

They scratched up my rims on my Mercedes and gave me a card for some repair guy who said he needs to take my wheels off and take them for a few days!! Wtf? I’m not going out of my way for your screw up see ya idiots tomorrow

Wrong wheel

I went to Discount Tire, ordered a wheel and tires from them. I looked at the picture they stated was the same wheel. It did not look right. The person who ordered them and gave me a quote, gave me his card with his name on it and the cost. I received two phone calls from Discount Tire saying the wheel was in. When I went in, I told them about my concern regarding wheel being the correct one. The man who ordered it was no longer there and they could not find my quote.

The person who was helping me stated he looked at the wheel and it was the correct one. It took them 3 hours to change out the wheel and all 4 tires. When it was done, they had me walk out to my car because they were very busy. When I walked to my car, I immediately realized it was the wrong wheel. I brought the car around to the front of the building and walked back in. I told him it was the wrong wheel color. It was dark grey and my wheels were more of a silver graphite.

I was extremely upset since I had told them I thought it was incorrect. I could not believe the person who put the wheel on did not realize it was the wrong color. That is what he does for a living and did not see it! I saw the color difference immediately. They stated it was because the area they put it on is not well lit.

If someone had called me and told me, "I'm sorry, but we need to reorder a different wheel." I would not have been nearly as upset. They were going to let me drive away with the wrong wheel!

Then one of the guys there said to me, "Miss K, don't be so upset, we will fix it." That was the last thing I wanted to hear because I had told them it was wrong to begin with.

Then the man that was helping me tells me that when he looks the wheels up on the computer, two of the wheels look exactly alike. I told him I wanted something in writing saying I would get the right one at no cost to mount or balance the wheel. He put it on the back of one of his cards. I told him the last person that gave me his card was no longer there. (That was one week ago.) . He said, "I just got here, I am not going anywhere." Then he said, "well, I will be on vacation next week, but, I will make sure you get taken care of." Nothing printed saying I would get the wheel and everything at no cost. No....I do not feel taken care of.

I am a nurse practitioner. If I gave a child the wrong drug because "two of them look exactly alike", I would not have a license to practice.

Yes, I am pissed!

I was second car inline that arrived at 7:48 am on 11/14/2018 when they finally opened heir doors a few more trucks arrived the customer service guy comes out and says that those other arrivals were there first; i told him no me and the white truck were the only ones here this morning the guy was arguing with me; i believe because i am not male he was preferring

60,000 mile tires went 30,000 miles

The tires developed a howling and thumping sound at about 15 to 20,000 miles. Brought the car to Discount Tire and their Technician test drove it. He, of course, couldn't hear it. Brought it to my Mechanic and he said that the tires had broken belts. I complained to Discount Tire. Their Manager called me and said he would replace two tires. What about the other two? That would put me in a bad situation after they begin to wear. Couldn't do that. The interesting thing is when I bought the tires from Discount Tire, I also bought tires for my wife's Jeep. They were a completely different brand and they did the same thing. Went elsewhere and bought new Goodyear tires and all seems well.

HAD THEM TO CHANGE A FLAT ON A CORVETTE AND THEY CHANGED THE WRONG TIRE WHICH WAS A RUN FLAT THE TIRE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE REPLACED WAS A REGULAR TIRE AND IT WAS SUPPOSE TO GET THE RUN FLAT ON THAT ONE SOTHEY HAD TO REORDER A RUN FLAT FOR THE RIGHT TIRE IT TOOK ALMOST 3 WEEKS THEY DID NOT COMMUNICATE WHAT WAS GOING ON I HAD TO CHASE THE MANAGER DOWN AND E-MAIL THE GENERAL MANAGER IN ORDER TO GET A RESPONSE THIS IS THE ONE ON STELLA LINK IN HOUSTON TEXAS I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS LOCATION THEY ARE ALL INCOMPATENT IF I HAD A FLAT ON A BIKE I WOULD NOT LET THEM FIXIT

Doiscount Tire Redlands, CA Broken Off a Tire Lug

The Discount Tire location in Redlands, CA BROKE OFF one of my lug posts on my wheel, it was reported when it happened, I have bought tires and lifetime warranty, lifetime brakes at this same store for this vehicle since year 1994 to date, the California DMV has a law posted on their website that it is illegal for a business to break off a lug and expose the consumer to this danger, BUT Discount Tire will not fix....so I have pictures of the broken off lug, the DMV law, the problem happened when Discount Tire was replacing a complete set of new tires, and now I have this example of a similar problem that I was use at the Small Claims Court hearing! Vibration problem no solution

took my 2004 Mecury to store in Endenburg Texas, to get tires checked for balance and any separation problems because of vibration at high speed (65to 75 mph) and low speed what felt like a wobble. the tires were Goodyear assurance. The salesman said they would take tires off and check, when completed they told me no problems were found and maybe I needed shocks, what a joke!!!! the techs in the back have not been trained on what to look for in a tire that is faulty, they just throw them up and spin them. I drove the car to Victoria Texas to another Dis count Tire store shaking the whole way there. This store way able to find the problem only after I asked the tech in back to let me inspect the tire, at that point the manager looked and found the problem. 4 new tires were installed. this is the second time this exact thing has happenend at one of your stores, TRAIN YOUR TECHS TO INSPECT TIRES WHEN PROBLEMS ARE ENCOUNTERED. Very disappointed, glad the Victoria store was able to find the problem

2013 Ford Dually King Ranch Pickup - damage of $ 1,700 for aluminum wheels

I have a 2013 ford f350 dually king ranch cost $ 65,000.00 has aluminum wheels - I had one tire with a side wall problem I had discount tire in homer glen, Il - replace two new front tires so the tread wear would match. The truck has 9,000 miles. Told the store manager this is a new truck no damage on the truck or the wheels could they be careful of the aluminum wheels in mounting the tires, no problem our guy has 10 years this is all he works on. Truck done they drove it outside - looked at the front aluminum both wheels damaged. The manager and the tire installer said the wheels were not damaged prior to them working on it - that damage was like that - deep scratches and gouges. The wheels had some road film the only clean part was the damage. Only one wheel was ever balanced by them the other still had the original ford wheel weight. This is over a month ago, I received a letter from the corporate claims office in Arizona - telling me that nothing they use could damage my wheels. I noticed hundreds of complaints of damage vehicles and this is pretty much a form letter of their denial of anything they use in causing damage. I am filing a lawsuit against Discount Tire and bringing copies of all of the damage complaints from the internet this will take a very large box to carry them to court - I will never ever ever purchase tires from them again. They don't call it Discount Tires for a reason.

Not Balanced!!!!

For year's I've been buying tires from your stores. My problem started when I came to have my tires rotated. An was told that there was not enough tread. On the sixty thousand mile tires. That had only been driven on for eighteen thousand miles. Had to buy two tires because I told the warranty did not aplie. Had problems with one of the new tire.an was told that there was nothing wrong. Went to a second ,an was told that one of my rims was bent .I told the store manager to.put some rims on the car if it would solve the problem,but it did not.an the wrong rims was placed on the car twice. Went to a third store about my tire problem. Again was told by the store manager all my tires were check an were good.not so!! Went to a forth store same service bad. Had to go to a competitor.an pay them to fine the problem.because of the after market rims I needed drum rings to center the rims. Longer story short the four store ,5740 E Sam Houston Pkwy. 18075 I-45 south Shenandoah, 7424 fm 1960 E, store at 1960/ I-45, an beltway 8 wallisville.

I took my truck to Discount Tire. And I Drive a Lincoln Blackwood. And they got inexperience employees that don't know how to work on fancy vehicles. The damage my air ride. When to manager and never response to my calls. Finally one of the manager did. Want it to help me after Two years dealing with this issue. When He contact corporate office. I received a call from some yerk at corporate office and told me that He won't fixed my peoblem because is being 2 years. Like if it was my fault that He's management won't respond to calls. I should have done what my wife had told me to get a lawyer. I didn't want to do that thinking that discount will take care the problem. I guess I was wrong and she was right. If you drive a nice ride get tires in a more responsible place that will take care any damage they do to your ride.

personally I shopped around for a trusted agency and found one I have used for 5 years on all my families cars.Price is not an issue as they are fair. My advice is never use anyone you have a problem with and shop around.

I get tires, engine work and anything else from there as they stand by the product. I also get body work from mieneke which I swear by .

car always looks like new and the service is fast. :)

Overcharged for Tires Purchased

Went to Discount Tire on 9440 Atlantic Blvd. in Jacksonville, Florida, 32225. The Manager there Zach Weinshenker said I need new as the existing tires needs replacment. The Falken 40,000 mile tires on my car had 27,000 actual miles. He turned these tires in with 31,000 miles used on them (credit for treadwear)/ then charged me more for tires than the price as advertised on Discount Tire's website. He also charged me more for the "Free replacement Certificates" as advertised on Discount Tires Website. I called his bluff, and he said he would reimburse me for the difference- but that did not happen. I bet he does this to all customers to get some extra bucks $$$ in the cash register.

They damaged my oil pan which needed replacing

1-22-13 I entered Discount Tire Center for an oil change I purchased. They informed me that (they) stripped the threads of my oil pan. They tapped in an oversize bolt/plug. I left and went home. In the a.m. noticed leaking oil. Took car to my mechanic. They installed the new plug askew so that it would never seat properly, and always leak. I informed the regional manager Mike Nelson who in turn informed Akop Semerdjian the owner. The owner never contacted me. I paid my mechanic to fix the problem. $300 . My mechanic wrote a statement of facts which was also forwarded to Mr. Semerdjian via Mike Nelson. Mr. Nelson told me that Mr. Semerdjian felt it was not his responsibility. As it stands I have not been contacted by the owner Mr. semerdjian and have paid $300 to repair the damage they caused my vehicle. I would like Discount Tire Center or Mr. Semerdjian to pay me back the $300 I am out of pocket for their mistake, their damage to my oil pan which had to be replaced.

Bad service.

Went to Noblesville In store 12/27/12. To get air for my air tank. Had low tire on my sons van. I was going to bring it back for discount to fix.They told me no. I have taken my tire work to this store, when it move to town. Not any more, another store did fill my tank and I will take my work to them. Steve Costlow 317-514-****.This to me is just bad service, they said they will check you tire pressure for free. Why the bad service just dont under stand this. No more business for them.
